Juiced Up

Can I interest anyone in a Green Juice?

Now I hate diets, fasts, FADS. .anything that restricts me too much that I revert to succumbing to the pleasures of my first love-Junk Food.

So I have come up with a trial and error (I repeat trial and error) 7 day plan of two juice meals a day and one healthy balanced meal just so it doesn't get boring and I am getting some solids.

What are the ingredients you ask?

6 Apple
2 Celery Sticks
1 Pineapple
2 Limes
2 Lemons
Kale
Ginger

I bought the CUH 990W Professional Stainless Steel Whole Fruit Vegetable Juicer Juice Extractor from Amazon which was only £30.99 which I thought was a very reasonable price. It comes already assembled, East to clean  and works great.

One tip I would definitely suggest when cutting the fruit is to make sure the peels and cores are completely removed as they sometimes leave a horrible taste.

 ALAS! A very tasty drink.

I have a new year's goal to participate in the Tough Mudder event and I want to be readily prepared so bring on the training! I will be keeping everyone posted on my fitness regime etc.

Hope everyone had a lovely bank holiday weekend!

Love from T xx

Raw Double Denim

 Back and rawer than ever!

Double Denim is still trending this summer but how about taking it another step further and putting together pieces of raw denim. Who knew you could style denim in so many different ways and I'm sure it will continue to improve over this summer.

I got this amazing open button back raw hem denim top from Asos and just thought I had to post another Double Denim ensemble so without further adieu...

Also note I'm embarking on a natural hair journey and trying to avoid weaves this summer! Will keep you updated.

Seven Dials Spring Shopping Event

For ONCE it's not T back on her lonesome but she's brought long lost stranger with her as well.

That's right, Tarina showed a little cheeky appearance which we are not sure will be the first of many or the last. However, whilst we are ironing out the details of Clothes Over People, rest assured there will always be a post from me *winks*.

So you're wondering what mischief we got up to this weekend.. Well we were priveleged to receive a VIP invite to Seven Dials and St Martin's Courtyard Spring Shopping Event Trend Talks from both editors from Elle Magazine and British Esquire.

Something about Trend Talks makes me very excited as one thing we love talking about (evidently) is clothes and different trends through the seasons for not only women but men also!

My sister and I were very much amazed when we came to find out the Trend Talks would be held in a tipi! Unique or what?!
We especially lovely how intrique and well designed the decor inside was. It kind of filled my head with ideas of how I would love my closet to be. As we all know, choosing an outfit to wear is less than peaceful or relaxed. Now I know my closet is far from close at looking anything like that but a girl can dream right?

(Closet Goals)

Both trend talks from Teo van den Broeke-Senior Style Editor of British Esquire and Harriet Stewart-Market Editor of Elle UK were very inciteful on what's in this SS15.

We especially were intrigued by Teo's talk on men's fashion as we know men's fashion isn't as fast moving as women's and is more about the details than trends. He emphasized alot on layering which we all love a man that can layer the hell out of an outfit! What Teo mentioned about layering was that deconstructed blazers and trousers with cuffs at the ankles are trending a lot more as it's all about comfort whereas before it was about looking smart which depending on where you work could possibly fit the purpose (unless working in a bank. guys use your discretion please!) Ofcourse, if men are going to be a lot more relaxed with this trend, it applies to even the smallest garment as changing a shirt and tie with a t-shirt.

Now what about shoes?

Teo advised on the simple two or three staple shoes such as brogues and the key is to invest in a good pair of shoes that will last you a long time. I would like to throw a little inspiration in by going as far as saying a pair of plimsolls, boat shoes or even possibly a pair of plain vans could possibly pull of the look. Remember, Sports Luxe is not just for the ladies!

Last but not least, he discussed the well anticipated summer accessory - sunglasses. We all are guilty of winging it when choosing sunglasses but Teo advises to buy sunglasses that suit your frame of  face. For example, Oval glasses suit more of a square face. If you don't have quite a square face but love Oval glasses, he suggested buying glasses with a bigger Oval.
You will be pleased to know Aviator glasses are suited to almost any frame of face so on that note, I'm off shopping for a new pair of glasses!

Harriet's talk touched on a lot of the typical Spring/Summer trends that are around year after year such as florals, denim and prints. She informed of the new trend of clashing different prints together which I'm not sure is something I can pull off but hey, you never know!

Harriet also mentioned my favourite look to go for at the moment which is workwear any type of outfit dressed down with a pair of trainers or casualwear shoes.

She touched on the trend of Boho Chic and used the dress to the far right (picture below) as an example to which she advised styling with biker boots and a jacket as well as statement jewellery. I have made a goal to put together atleast one Boho Chic outfit and post about it this summer...Pending!

As well as perks of free cocktails (which I wouldn't suggest drinking on an empty stomach!), we got to enjoy a sunny day and a shopping event filled with things to do as you can see!

My favourite part was the Mac'n'Cheese food cart as I got to show my undeniable love for Macaroni Cheese. Thank you Anna Mae's!

Ofcourse, we couldn't mark this day without a trip to the photobooth!

Until next time! Leave us comments on what trends you will be wearing this summer xx
