& All that Hype

What's up everyone? As you know I've been a bit busy lately, sewing my ass off to make the clothes for our International Clothes Over people. After that I decided to take a well deserved rest! But don't worry I will get that page up by the end of this week if it kills me.
For now I'm putting up this post on a present I received from my lovely sister Thanai(you might know her better as T). She bought me this dress from a brand I've always liked but have only just recently started to wear.
My style during the summer holidays has become incredibly laid back and comfortable, meaning loose fitting dresses, ripped/ baggy jeans and trainers. However I'm starting college soon and so your gonna get the opportunity to see me smarten up my look and maybe even do my makeup properly!

New Flame

:o Two posts in one day?!

It's cause I love you guys...ahem and I had to show off my new faux septum ring from Vida Kush that I got from La Moda.

I have 4 piercings on my ears and they hurt enough! With this ring that you slightly adjust to fit your nose is amazing,  who said you had to feel pain in order to gain?!

I'm a laid back person! ;) until next time

Makeup of the Day

Hey guys!
So I have had a lot of requests on how I do my makeup and thought why not do a beauty blog post?!
Here's a step by step:

1. I like to start off with my eyes first and I love to make them stand out the most so I always use a white eyeliner to line my waterline. There's something about the white that just reflects into my pupils and makes my eye colour stand out a lot more. The eyeliner I used was Rimmel London Soft Kohl kajal eye liner pencil.

I also used the L'OrĂ©al Paris block buster eyeliner to achieve the winged look. It's absolutely amazing,  just like using a felt tip as I hate the faffing about with a brush and pot.

2. I then moved onto my ...lashes! Now I have pretty short lashes (don't ask) so my favourite lashes to use is are Ardell Demi Wispies which give me a really natural look. I know some people find it extremely hard to put lashes on sometimes so I use Bourjois' special eyelash tweezers which are easy as cake. And of course you can't go wrong without Eylure lash fix adhesive..Once I use it and never have to use again as it lasts all day..magic glue! You can find this in Superdrug as well as a pair of eyelash curlers to blend and shape with your natural lashes.

3. I blend my lashes further with Rimmel London scandal eyes mascara.

Eyebrows...eek! I've only just discovered this routine and I must say it's the best! I first prepare my eyebrows with Maybelline New York Brow Drama sculpting brow mascara in dark brown from Superdrug which just sets it in place then I use a spooly to sculpt it a little more. I then use Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz which you can get from an online company Cult Beauty. I use it to draw the outline of my brows.

4. I get an angled brush and Anastasia Beverly Hills dip brow which is like eyeliner bit for eyebrows ;) to fill in the gaps. The great thing about this product is you don't need a lot. You can also get this from Cult Beauty online. I then use my sleek foundation in coco bean to highlight and neaten up any imperfections.

5. Now I don't tend to wear foundation at all really but just for the circumstances of cleaning up and enhancing my appearance..I did it for you guys! I've been told I have a great complexion and skin hehe! Moving on slyly, I use my sleek au naturel 601 eyeshadow palette to contour my chubby cheeks and I mix the bottom right corner two colours and what you see on my hand is the two mixed. I got this lovely palette from Superdrug.  OMG I love superdrug right?

5. I use my contour brush from Revlon which I got from my house Superdrug :p and after I tend to blend with my fingers just because the colour is quite dark and a brush just won't do. I rarely find blushes that make my cheeks pop until I found Max Factor Miracle Touch Cream Blush..It really is a miracle! I love the fact it is creamy as I can rub it in and make it as subtle as I want. It's a beatiful mess!

I take my sleek palette again and apply the shimmery colour on top of my white eyeliner on my waterline.

Next is lips! Lime Crime Chinchilla is my life! Lovely creamy texture and I got this from Cocktail Cosmetics online which sent me the package in such pretty artwork! You would of thought I bought something designer instead of lipstick!

6. So I started with the chinchilla as a base and I was indecisive on whether to use sleek true colour lipstick in smother 797 or Rimmel London lasting finish by Kate Moss rosetto 04.

I went with sleek as kate moss' is a little darker purple.  I used the sleek like a lip liner and the pic above is how I lined it using the pointy bit of the lipstick.

...& VOILA!

Hope you guys like it and have a look at how I finished this look in the next post!

LGBD

So it was my parents anniversary this week and I have been looking for a simple yet stunning dress preferably a little black  dress (LBD) and I decided to browse new boutiques and clothing brands and came across Lilylulufashion. I came across a beatiful and simple dress and I instantly knew it was mine! So I gave it the name Little Gold Black Dress (hence blog post name).
If you've also noticed I've cut my hair into a bob thanks to current obsession with Kylie Jenner..absolutely love her style and look!
Now this is a rare blog you will see both me and my sister in the same place so you are being spoilt haha!

Ragged T

Hey guys! Once again sorry for the delay in posts it's been a busy month with our projects.
Have I ever told you guys that I love ragged priest? Well even more importantly I love asos for selling this brand and featuring a few items in the sale.
I managed to get a midi white skirt for £10 and paired it with a crop top from Boohoo.  Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the different types of styles Boohoo incorporate however I'm really disappointed in the quality of the material if I'm very honest and it has unfortunately put me off purchasing anything further especially jersey material as it is very fragile and tears at the seam.
On a positive note, I love trying out different and new brands and I will always give my honest opinion.
Hope you guys like this look, had a special photographer friend take some great shots!

Top - boohoo
Skirt - ASOS/ ragged priest
Shoes - Bank

Also if you guys are interested in where I get my nails done, please head over to Reecey Roos in Camberwell.  Absolutely love them, they are so friendly, the artwork on the walls are amazing and even better they don't use drills! Which I love because I hate being cut by drills and they do bespoke designs. Head over to their website:  http://www.reeceyroos.co.uk

Quick Update

Hey guys,

You all might be wondering why all the posts at the moment seem to be just coming from T...Well.....

Tarina is just the laziest blogger you will ever meet!

I'm messing with you guys! Remember, we stated we are in the midst of an important project? As me and Tarina have designed all of our international themed outfits for our project 'International Clothes Over People', the next step is making them!

Now everyone that knows me, knows I can't make anything. I love to think I'm inventive but really the end result is a disaster ....to nicely put it.

Tarina sends her apologies as she is literally neck high (see what I did there) in test fabric, needles, buttons, zips...you name it! Not to mention she has less than two weeks to make these all.

If you were getting sick of me, all you had to do was let me know! Haha, so please bear with us and we will be revealing her creations on the 25th of August, 2014.

In the meantime, have a look at our instagram page for a sneak peak of what we have been up to..
