We're back and with a vengeance in sports wear and double denim! If that isn't your idea of a perfect laid back outfit, what planet are you from?
You guys are in for a treat as Tarina and myself have decided to do a joint post for the first time in our year and a bit of blogging. Which means two opinions and tips on styling. Double the trouble, double the style.
Thanai's style:
I decided to go for a funky fun double denim girl band look. (Yes I'm rolling with that being classified as an actual style/trend) I've stated on many occasions that comfortable fashion is the best fashion. Looking good with zero to minimal effort is truly winning.
One thing I love even more than denim is loose denim. Jackets, mom jeans/skirts, boyfriend jeans etc. I feel like if you're going to wear a crop or something tight, there needs to be a contrast in layering and sizes. This is exactly what I did.
I came across this fly Ellesse sports bra and knew from then that I wanted to put an outfit together to show how I style it. We all know underwear is now outerwear right now and brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein have people sporting their items like it isn't winter outside. (Guilty) So I thought why not try it with Ellesse? It's definitely more down my alley as the brand is more urban and has a unique coolness about it which drew me to it. Yes, I'm not the skinniest and don't have a modelesque body type and Ellesse gives me the confidence to feel like I don't have to. Ellesse is versatile, affordable and accessible to a wide demographic. Hell, I saw an elderly lady sporting their head wear!
So thank you Ellesse for encouraging confidence in all body types and style.
Tarina' style:
Thanai has already told you all about our love for sportswear brands, in particular Ellesse!
My take on my styling for this shoot was almost the opposite of Thanai's(as usual)! While she was going for a more effortless and comfortable look my outfit was for those of you who don't mind being a little uncomfortable in order to look stylish.
So I was sporting a baggy Ellesse top which I loved! And as I don't like wearing too much baggy clothes in one outfit-unless they are tailored- I decided to pair it with a figure hugging light wash denim skirt because I wanted the outfit to be a little more feminine that the general sportswear style. I also went a bit overboard with the blue and added blue timberlands and a bomber jacket.
Even though our outfits were pretty different I think T and I managed to showcase to brand perfectly to suit our own styles! Hope you all enjoy!
